Located in the small town of Tompkinsville, Kentucky is Monroe Health and Rehabilitation Center, a 120-bed skilled nursing and personal care facility. The staff members at the facility have many years of experience in long-term care and are experts when it comes to providing quality care. Once inside our facility, you’ll soon notice the smiles on the residents’ and employees’ faces and you will feel the love that is exhibited here at the home.
The facility is focused on meeting the needs of a variety of residents. We strive to provide rehabilitation to those residents wishing to return home, we enjoy providing long-term care to those residents who need a place to make their home during their elderly years. And we are available to residents who need respite care while their primary caregivers take a vacation or need a break.
When an individual enters the facility, our team of professionals evaluates his or her health care needs and establishes a plan of care to meet the person’s specific needs. This plan of care is updated routinely. Residents and their loved ones are encouraged to help us develop this program.
A licensed nurse is always on duty at Monroe Health and Rehabilitation Center. In addition, a local physician is on call to help advise our nursing staff concerning the care practices for our residents. Among the other trained professionals at our facility are a physical therapist, occupational therapist, speech therapist, dietician, dietary manager, nursing staff, activities staff, social worker, housekeeping staff, laundry staff, maintenance staff and office staff.
By providing social activities and church services daily, our Activities Director and volunteers from the community ensure that our residents have fun, are entertained and are spiritually satisfied without having to leave the facility.
Among the many other special services and amenities that we offer are these:
- Views of two beautiful courtyards and landscaped grounds;
- Delicious meals and snacks served daily in the dining room or in the resident’s room;
- Lobby areas where residents can sit and socialize with visitors and other residents.
